MEDIUM SLOW ON A HOLIDAY WEEK – BEFORE A RAIL STRIKE?
We keep a little pile of salt grains nearby in case we need to take one with a week’s report. We also suggest that you take this week’s report with a grain of salt because holiday weeks tend to be a bit off with that extra non-tracking day thrown in there. That notwithstanding, service performance during the Labor Day week elicited neither cheers nor boos.

It is worth noting that there may be a US rail strike in the offing, set to begin Saturday. This story has gotten lighter-than-expected coverage, but the impact on mail delivery could be significant. You might want to keep an eye on that.
