NOT A GREAT WEEK.
I couldn’t come up with any good adjectives, so that’s it. “Not a great week.” Each week I look at how we did, in the four categories we measure, against the prior week and against the year-to-date figures. This week represented a lower on-time percentage against all of them. Not dramatically worse just, well…not a great week. Days-in-transit for First-Class letters and flats was a tiny bit better, so there’s that. That’s positive. See? I can be positive.
Traditionally, we have seen a sag in performance in the fall as volumes grow, and it looks like we may stick with tradition this year.
