SERVICE MODERATES, A BIT, ON A HOLIDAY WEEK.
After a couple of truly awful weeks, service looked better, if not great, last week. The Monday holiday tends to give the week a boost, as we do not count that day – we only count postal days.
Once again, the slowest states were Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, with Missouri and Illinois in the same group. These central states are getting to be consistently slow with First-Class letters.
Marketing Mail letters had another good week, while flats’ on-time percentages were down a bit.
Just another quiet week at the Postal Service.
